Beskrivning av artikel

Harilal is an orphaned boy who one evening is found on the steps of the Hindu temple in Ahmedabad. He is taken to Gandhi's Ashram outside the city. There he learns what loving one’s enemies means and how to practice non-violence. Each evening he hears about Mahathma Gandhi, also called Bapu, and his struggle for the rights of the Indians, both in South Africa and in India. He also learns how Bapu saved the poor farmers from starvation and how he was thrown into jail for standing up to the struggle for India’s independance.

Harilal follows Bapu when he inspires his people to boycott English clothes and to extract the forbidden salt from the Indian Ocean.

Learn about all the exciting things that Harilal will experience along with Bapu, India's hero and martyr. And reflect for yourself what non-violence means for today´s struggle for freedom and justice.
